Prix Emile Hermes

Twenty projects will be unveiled to the public and exposed the 17 September to 11 November in a setting of the Italian designer Gabriele Pezzini.Destiné students and young design professionals in 14 countries throughout Europe, the competition Emile Hermes is intended to discover and reward young talent moving into the world of architecture and design. This 1st edition, the theme of "lightness everyday" objects around travel and home, will reward the three projects most appreciated by the final jury chaired by renowned Italian designer Enzo Mari. Until 16 September, 21 winners selected from 700 cases will be competing. Everyone has to make a prototype in two copies to be submitted to the final jury votes. Candidate projects will be judged on numerous criteria such as aesthetics, innovation and originality, functionality, eye for detail, clarity, or understanding of the values of Hermes.

All candidates will be a "collector of Hermès, and will be exhibited throughout Europe. In addition, a catalog of prototypes of the exhibition will also be published by Hermes. The three prize winners, they all receive a sum ranging between 15,000 and 50,000 euros. The 21 candidates competing to win the Prix Emile Hermes are: Adeline Beaudry, Maria Beltran, Gregory Brunisholz, Nicolas Daul, Silke De Vivo, Valentina Donadel, Amandine Fabry Jarl Fernaeus, Xavier Figuerola, Bastian Goecke, Constance Guisset Yuichi Ishihara, Simon Lécureux Florent Lefevre, Francesco Librizzi, Ian Mahaffy, Jamil Nounja, Susanne Rinderer, David Seabra, Tomas Alonso Silva, and Susanne Stofer.
